Archival Corpus

The Escola Pia de Catalunya is a religious institution that brings together leading schools. Years ago, they received as inheritance the private archive of a benefactor, Antoni Borrell. Among other documents, there is a small archival collection on maritime history. Antonio Borrell was the ship agent of the Marques de Campo Line, that connected Liverpool to the Philippines, while Barcelona was  the port base. The archive contains crew agreements and information about supplies et al from 1881 to 1884. It allows us to reconstruct the life onboard packets bound to the Philippines, that were at the time a Spanish colony. The source has the reference 10.33
