Series

The Escola Pia de Catalunya is a religious institution that brings together leading schools. Years ago they received as inheritance some properties and the private archive of a benefactor, Antoni Borrell. Among the documents, there was a small collection of interest for the maritime history preserved in the archives of the institution. Antonio Borrell was the ship agent of the Marques de Campo Line, to the Philippines, connecting Liverpool to Manila, while Barcelona was the port base of the company. The source contains crew agreements and information about supplies et al from 1881 to 1884. It allows us to reconstruct the life onboard the packets bound to the Philippines, which was at the time a Spanish colony. The source has the reference 10.33
