Daniel Muntané Pueyo, member of SeaLit Barcelona Team, has been awarded the XIX Ricart i Giralt Prize for a proposal of research on Maritime History. This grant is given by the Museu Marítim de Barcelona and the Instituto Ramon Muntaner.
The title of the proposal was “Les societats de socors mutu en el treball marítim, al llevant espanyol, des de la desaparició del sistema gremial fins a la Conferència Internacional dels marins de Gènova (1850-1920)”. The topic relates workers' associationism in maritime industries between the end of the guilds in Spain and the Genoa Conference in 1920, focusing on the Spanish Mediterranean coast.
The final work could be published as a monograph by the Museu Marítim de Barcelona.
