Lloret de Mar is a town in the Catalan coast, north to Barcelona, with a very strong tradition of seafaring and shipbuilding in the Age of Sail. It has a very representative set of seamen dynasty, and a remarkable shipbuilding industry. This book summarizes the history of this fleet and some of the people involved in it, equivalent to similar cases in other Spanish or foreign Mediterranean maritime communities. It could exemplified the relationship between shipbuilders, traders, masters and crews in a small town absolutely dependent on the colonial trade during the so-called Golden Age of the Catalan Sailing, approximately between 1778 and 1870. The book includes several pictures of the most important sailing vessels of the fleet.
